ソニーとバンナム、エンタメグローバル展開でGaudiyに100億円出資
ソニーグループとバンダイナムコホールディングス(BNHD)、Gaudiy(ガウディ)は、エンターテインメントとテクノロジー領域における戦略的パートナーシップを開始した。ソニーとBNHDは総額100億円をGaudiyに出資する。
戦略的パートナーシップでは、グローバル展開として、ソニー傘下のCrunchyroll、Gaudiy傘下のMyAnimeList、BNHDによるIPのワールドワイド展開を連携させ、日本のIPの海外展開を加速させていく。
Gaudiyは、ファンとIPをつなぐコミュニティプラットフォーム「Gaudiy Fanlink」を大手エンターテインメント企業に提供しているほか、今年に入り、会員数1,950万人の海外アニメ・マンガコミュニティサイト「MyAnimeList」をグループ傘下に収めている。
この「グローバル」がテーマの取り組みのほか、以下の4つのテーマが挙げられている。
「IP創出・次世代クリエイターの育成」のテーマでは、実績のある日本のIP創出の土壌を継続的なものにするため、次世代クリエイターの発掘・育成に積極的に取り組んでいく。
「データ利活用」では、各社が保有するデータアセットを連携、エンターテインメント領域におけるデータ活用を進める。分断されがちなファンデータを相互に連携・接続し、分析・活用を強化、「より感動的でパーソナライズされたエンターテインメント体験を提供する」としている。
「ブロックチェーン」のテーマでは、ブロックチェーン技術を活用し、ファンやクリエイターが安心して参加・活動できるエコシステムの構築を目指す。ソニーが開発するパブリックブロックチェーン「Soneium」(ソニューム)や、Gaudiyが実証研究するトークノミクス設計・オークション設計の知見を活用、「ファンを疲弊させず、クリエイターが正当に報われる還元の仕組み」の実現を目指す。
「生成AI」では、BNHDとGaudiyが、生成AI技術の研究開発・活用を推進し、新たなエンターテインメント体験の創出を目指す。公式ガンプラコミュニティ「ビルダーズノート」においては、画像生成AI技術を活用した新たなファン体験を提供するなど、具体的な取り組みが始まっている。
