釧路港のマイワシ水揚げ量 去年同時期の半分程度 海水温影響か
水揚げ量が全国で最も多い北海道の釧路港では、6月から漁が始まったマイワシの水揚げ量が、ことしは去年の同じ時期の半分程度となっていて、国の研究機関は、海水温の影響で北上が遅れていると分析しています。
釧路港は水揚げ量が2年連続で全国で最も多く、中でもマイワシは去年、全体の85％を占めた主力です。
ところが、ことしはマイワシの水揚げ量が低調で、「北海道まき網漁業協会」によりますと、6月から8月末までの水揚げ量は3万5995トンで、去年の同じ時期の半分程度となっているということです。
道東沖のマイワシ巻き網漁は10月にかけて本格化しますが、釧路港で水揚げした漁業者は「量は減っていると感じる。今後に期待したい」と話していました。
国の研究機関の「水産研究・教育機構」の由上龍嗣グループ長は、ことしは千葉 銚子沖の海水温が低く、冷たい水を好むマイワシがとどまっているため北上が遅れていると分析したうえで、「9月に入り釧路沖の海水温が低くなってきたので、今後、群れが入り、漁獲が増える可能性がある」と話しています。
