ナイキは、ロードランニング向けのフットウェア「ナイキ ボメロ プレミアム」を発表した。発売は今年の秋の予定。同モデルはその名の通り、「ナイキ ボメロ 18」の派生モデルで、新たなレベルのパフォーマンスや衝撃保護、リカバリーを追求したという。
ナイキ ボメロ プレミアムは、ズームXフォームとかかと・前足部の露出したエアズームユニットを組み合わせ、ソールの最大厚の部分は55mmに及ぶ。開発にあたり、ナイキのプロジェクト「Breaking 4」（1マイル4分）に挑んだフェイス・キピエゴンもトレーニングでこのシューズを使用したという。最大限のクッショニングを持つこのシューズは、トップアスリートからビギナーまで幅広い層に向けたフットウェアだ。
アッパー形状は全面にメッシュ素材を用い、サイドには「ナイキ モアアップテンポ」を彷彿とさせるAIRのグラフィックにスウッシュがオーバーレイされている。現時点でカラーウェイは公開されていない。
