NTT、KDDI、ソフトバンクら8社、大規模災害時の被災地支援で協力強化
通信事業者8社が、大規模災害発生時における被災地支援に向けた通信事業者間の協力体制を強化する。
NTTグループ(NTT、NTT東日本、NTT西日本、NTTドコモ、NTTドコモビジネス)と、KDDI、ソフトバンク、楽天モバイルの8社は、大規模災害発生時における被災地への速やかな支援に向け、被災地支援に関する情報連携を、2025年7月から開始する。
24年12月1日に共同で運用を開始した、大規模災害の発生時におけるネットワークの早期復旧に向けた通信事業者間の協力体制に基づくもの。8社による「つなぐ×かえる」プロジェクトの一環として、強化していく。
大規模災害発生時、各通信事業者は避難所への通信サービスの提供などを通して被災地を支援している。従来は、各社個別で支援活動を行なってきたが、新体制では、各社が協力して支援情報を共有するなど、被災地における通信サービス提供などの支援を速やかに届けられるようにする。
主な取り組みは避難所の情報共有や問い合わせ先の掲示など。これにより、無料Wi-Fiサービスなどの通信サービスや、充電サービス、問い合わせ先掲示などの支援を迅速化していく。
