福島 浪江町「大堀相馬焼」14年ぶりに登り窯で焼く作業
福島県浪江町で、東京電力福島第一原発の事故の影響で途絶えていた、国の伝統的工芸品「大堀相馬焼」を伝統的な登り窯で焼く作業が、14年ぶりに行われました。
福島県浪江町の大堀地区に300年以上前から伝わる「大堀相馬焼」は、繊細なひびの模様や馬をあしらった絵柄などが特徴の焼き物で、国の伝統的工芸品に指定されています。
原発事故のあと地区に避難指示が出されたため、窯元は避難先での活動を続けるなどしていて、産地にある伝統的な登り窯で焼く作業が途絶えていましたが、去年、地区の一部で避難指示が解除されたことを受けて、11日から14年ぶりに再開しました。
焼き上げるのは地元の子どもなどが作った作品およそ800点で、窯元がボランティアなどとともに交代で温度を調整しながら焼き上げるということです。
大堀相馬焼協同組合の理事長で「半谷窯」の半谷貞辰さんは「避難したときには想像もできなかったので、火を入れられて喜ばしいです。ここから再生していく姿を見てもらいたいです」と話していました。
