超高級車の“ハイパフォーマンスハイブリッドモデル”が、異次元すぎた!!! 新車価格4040万円の実力に迫る
新型ベントレー「コンチネンタルGT」に加わったハイパフォーマンスハイブリッドモデルに、『GQ JAPAN』ライフスタイル・エディターのイナガキが試乗した。アメリカ・モンタナ州で乗った印象に迫る。

アメリカ・モンタナ州で行われたベントレーの国際試乗会は、新型「ベンテイガ スピード」のテストドライブがメインだった。
新型ベントレー ベンテイガ スピードの完成度は素晴らしく、登場から約10年を迎えたモデルとは思えないスポーティな走りだった。
ビッグスカイと呼ぶ山岳リゾートを起点に新型ベンテイガ スピードの走行性能を堪能した翌日、短時間ではあるものの新型「コンチネンタルGT」の「アズール」に乗るチャンスを得た。
第4世代となる新型ベントレー コンチネンタルGTは、すでに日本市場へも上陸済み。筆者も「ウルトラパフォーマンスハイブリッド」と呼ぶ、プラグインハイブリッドシステムを搭載した「スピード」には、先日試乗した。ウルトラパフォーマンスハイブリッドは、 4.0リッターV8ツインターボエンジンと、パワフルかつコンパクトな電動モーターで構成。システム最高出力782psと最高トルク1000 Nmを発揮する。
ビッグスカイで試乗した新型ベントレー コンチネンタルGT アズールは、ウルトラパフォーマンスハイブリッドとは別の「ハイパフォーマンスハイブリッド」を搭載する。
ウルトラパフォーマンスハイブリッドのデチューン版で、先進的な4.0リッターV8エンジンと強力な電気モーターの組み合わせこそ変わらないものの、システム最高出力680ps、最大トルク930Nmに抑えられている。ハイパフォーマンスハイブリッドモデルは、 “パフォーマンス重視のデイリースーパーカー”という位置づけだ。
とはいえ、パワー、トルク、性能面で前世代の、W12エンジンを搭載したベントレー コンチネンタルGTスピードのパワートレインを上回っているというから十分高性能。
また、最大85kmの距離を純電気モードのみで走行出来るのもポイント。ウルトラパフォーマンスハイブリッドの70km弱に対し、ほんのわずかだが長い距離が電気のみで走行可能だ。
