栃木 3日の突風「ダウンバーストかガストフロントの可能性」
栃木県内で9月3日、突風が発生して各地で被害が出たことについて、気象台は「ダウンバーストかガストフロントの可能性が高い」とする調査結果を発表しました。
栃木県内では9月3日、突風が発生し、小山市と真岡市、それに下野市の3つの市で、学校の倉庫の屋根が飛ばされたり農業用ハウスが倒壊したりするなどの被害が出ました。
宇都宮地方気象台は4日、現地に職員を派遣し、建物の被害を確認したり、被害に遭った人から当時の様子を聞き取ったりして、調査を進めてきました。
その結果、竜巻の発生を示す情報はなく、積乱雲から吹き降ろす気流が地面に衝突したあと水平に吹く「ダウンバースト」か、冷たい空気の塊が地表を広範囲に進む「ガストフロント」の可能性が高いと発表しました。
気象台は「積乱雲や落雷を見た場合には、その後、突風が吹く可能性があるので、頑丈な建物に入るなど身の安全を確保してほしい」としています。
