伝説のジェントルマン、金谷鮮治の精神を受け継ぐショコラトリー「ジョンカナヤ」が移転リニューアルオープン
日本を代表するホテルマンで、類まれなグルマンでもあった金谷鮮治のスピリットを受け継ぐショコラトリーが恵比寿南に移転リニューアルオープン。ボンボンショコラや葉巻ショコラなど、自身にも手土産にも最適な逸品が揃う。

ショコラトリー「ジョンカナヤ（JOHN KANAYA）」が8月、恵比寿南に移転リニューアルした。ジョンカナヤといえば、金谷鮮治。日本のホテル業界において革命をもたらした名ホテルマンで、ダンディなスタイルで伝説を残した人物だ。彼は1971年にレストラン「西洋膳所JOHN KANAYA麻布」をオープンさせ、類い稀な知識や品性、ダンディズムを持ち合わせた金谷の美学が集結したお店として多くの人々から愛されていたが、残念ながら2000年代初頭に閉店。その派生として生まれたのが、ショコラトリー「ジョンカナヤ」なのだ。
リニューアル後の店舗も、当初のコンセプトを踏襲したシックでラグジュアリーな空間となっている。店内では、人気の定番「ボンボンショコラ」や「葉巻ショコラ」、「レコルテ ドゥ ショコラ」などを展開。アイコニックな「ボンボンショコラ」は手紙などに施す封蝋（シーリングワックス）のモチーフが特徴で、「スタンダード」のほかに、赤ワインやブランデー、リキュールの「酒」、フルーツの風味が薫り高い「果実」、山椒、大葉、はちみつ生姜など和素材とのマリアージュを味わえる「和」などの種類が。また「葉巻ショコラ」は、赤ワインガナッシュにミルキーなクーベルチュールチョコレートを薄く塗って職人技で精巧に巻き上げた、ダンディズムが感じられる逸品だ。
店内には「西洋膳所 JOHN KANAYA 麻布」を彷彿とさせるバーカウンターを設置。ショコラとワインやシャンパーニュ、ブランデーといったお酒のペアリングを楽しめるイベントを定期的に開催する予定だ。紳士的な大人の空間で唯一無二のショコラを思う存分楽しもう。
