メルカリ、出品したい商品の相場価格がすぐわかる「相場検索」
メルカリは、出品時に販売価格と配送料金の相場がすぐわかる「相場検索」機能の提供を開始した。アプリ版(iOS、Android)のみ対応する。

出品を検討している商品を、画像もしくはキーワードで検索することで、販売の相場価格や配送料金をひと目で確認できる機能。相場価格は直近の類似商品の実際の出品価格・売却価格を元にしており、配送料金は最も利用されている料金が表示される。
利用時は、出品タブの「相場を調べる」をタップし、検索バーで画像検索かキーワード入力を行なう。検索結果では、商品の状態「新品・未使用/未使用に近い/目立った傷や汚れなし」を選択でき、状態ごとの相場価格が確認できる。出品画面では、検索に使った商品名や状態、商品画像が入力されており、そのまま出品可能。
メルカリでは出品したい商品の写真をアップロードしてカテゴリーを選択すると、AIがタイトル・商品説明、販売価格などを自動で入力する「AI出品サポート」を搭載しているが、同社が実施した調査において、9割以上のユーザーが出品前に下調べをしていることが判明したという。
下調べをする理由として、「1円でも高く売りたい」「出品の手間に見合った利益が欲しい」「取引を短期間で完了させたい」がそれぞれ5割以上を占めるという結果になった。また、「価格」と「配送方法」に関する下調べが難しいと感じているユーザーも多かった。こうした背景から、価格や配送方法の下調べの負荷を軽減できるよう相場検索機能を提供したとする。
