インスタ、iPadアプリ提供開始
Instagramは3日(米国時間)、iPad専用アプリの提供を開始した。App Storeにて無料でダウンロードでき、iPadOS 15.1以降に対応する。今後はAndroidタブレット向けアプリも展開予定。

iPad版アプリは、モバイル版と比べて大きな画面を活かした最適化が行なわれ、より少ないタップ数でリールやDM機能などへアクセスできる。アプリを開くとリール動画が表示され、再生しながらコメント欄を開くことも可能。メッセージ画面では、会話相手の一覧を表示しながらDMの送受信が行なえる。
iPad版には新たに「フォロー中」タブを追加。フォローアカウントの投稿を「すべて」「友達」「最新」の3つの表示形式から選んで閲覧できる。表示順はユーザーの好みに応じて変更可能。
