シンヤコヅカとコンバースのコラボレーションスニーカーが登場！──GQ新着スニーカー
シンヤコヅカがブランド初となるコンバースとのコラボレーションスニーカー「PICTURESQUE ANTIQUE SNEAKER WITH CONVERSE（ISSUE#7）」を発表。全国展開に先駆け、9月25日（木）から公式オンラインストアとSMALL TRADES直営店で先行販売が行われ、26日（金）より全国発売。

ベースとなるのは、厚みのあるフォーム素材と太めのシューレースでボリューム感を演出するコンバースの「ALL STAR BOARDERSTAR OX」。ここにシンヤコヅカが掲げる「絵に描いたような情景」を重ね合わせ、まるで絵本から抜け出したかのような独自の存在感を放つスニーカーが完成した。
本コラボレーションの背景には、シンヤコヅカが大切にしてきた「ヴィンテージよりアンティーク」という視点がある。18世紀後半から19世紀初頭にかけてのアンティークを繰り返しリサーチし、当時の手仕事の温もりや緻密さを現代に交差させることで、新たなコントラストを生み出してきた。今回も「もしアンティークの時代に現代の技術でつくられたスニーカーが存在していたら」という発想から企画がスタートしている。
デザインの着想源となったのは、パリの蚤の市で出会ったアンティークのスカラップ刺繍。そこにブランドコンセプトである「絵に描いたような情景」を重ね、普遍的に描き続けてきた「鳥・額縁・月」のモチーフをハンドドローイングで起こし、コンバース特有のステッチワークに沿わせて刺繍として落とし込んだ。ヒールには額縁と月を配し、芽吹いた草の先から鳥が生える様子を描くなど、随所に独自の世界観が息づく。ロゴもすべてハンドドローイングに変更され、細部までこだわった特別仕様に仕上がっている。
