織田信長の朱印状 約100年ぶりに見つかる 滋賀 東近江
滋賀県の東近江市は、市内の百済寺で所在がわからなくなっていた織田信長の朱印状が、およそ100年ぶりに見つかったと発表しました。「天下布武」の朱印があり、寺の財産を保障するなどとした内容で、市は今後、専門家などとさらに調査を進めることにしています。
東近江市によりますと、この朱印状は、織田信長が対抗勢力だった六角氏の居城の観音寺城を落としたあと、今の東近江市にある百済寺に送ったとされます。
朱印状には永禄11年9月22日の日付けとともに、信長が寺の財産と土地をこれまでどおり保障することや、寺を信長の祈願場所とすることなどが記されています。
また「天下布武」の朱印が使われていて、信長がこの朱印を使い始めたころの初期のものとみられるとしています。
この朱印状はおよそ100年前に郷土史で紹介されていましたが、その後、所在がわからなくなっていて、おととし、寺の住職が木箱に入った朱印状を見つけ市が調べていたということです。
東近江市森の文化推進課の明日一史参事は「百済寺はのちに信長に焼き打ちされている。その前の貴重な古文書なので、発見されてよかった」と話していました。
市は今後、専門家などとさらに調査を進めることにしています。
