母の日を前に 贈答用のバラの出荷作業盛ん 群馬 昭和村
5月11日の母の日を前に、群馬県昭和村のバラ農園では、贈答用のバラの出荷作業が盛んに行われています。
群馬県昭和村にあるバラ農園は、農業用ハウスで10種類のバラを栽培し、年間に出荷するおよそ30万本のうち1万本余りを、母の日に向けて出荷しています。
9日朝も、従業員ら3人が、バラの花が贈られたときに見頃になるよう、3分咲きや6分咲きの花を選んで、傷がつかないよう丁寧にはさみで切り取っていました。
収穫したバラは、長さごとに仕分けて束にまとめられ、主に、東京の市場に向けて出荷されます。
この農園によりますと、ことしは、冬の寒さの影響で、開花が例年より遅れたということですが、母の日直前に咲き始めたため、色鮮やかな花に仕上がったということです。
バラ農園の室田貴城さんは「ことしは花にボリュームが出て、母の日を前に大量に出荷できた。バラを見て笑顔がこぼれ、心を潤してほしい。感謝の気持ちを込めてお届けできればと思う」と話していました。
