新茶の初取り引き 最高値は1キロ111万円余 静岡
静岡市にある静岡茶市場でシーズンを迎えた新茶の初取り引きが行われ、最高値は1キロ当たり111万円余りとなりました。
初取り引きは静岡市葵区の静岡茶市場で昭和32年から行われていて、ことしは最も早かった去年よりもさらに1日早く、12日行われました。
午前7時ごろに取り引きが始まり、ことしの最高値は「やぶきた」という品種の「高嶺の香」で1キロ当たり111万1111円でした。
取り引きが成立すると縁起を担いで3人が同時に3回手をたたく「手打ち」の音が響きわたっていました。
生産した両河内茶業会の望月秀樹会長は「香りの高い茶ができた。お茶のうまみや香りを楽しんでほしい」と話していました。
ことしは3月下旬に気温が下がる日があって、茶の発育が抑えられ、12日扱われた静岡県内産の新茶は50キロ余りとこれまでで最も少なかったということです。
このため、平均価格は大幅に上がって1キロ当たり7万7637円で、過去最高だった1995年の1万5928円の5倍近くになりました。
