新型スズキGSX-8T＆GSX-8TT登場！ ネオレトロなストリートバイクがあらわる！

7月4日、スズキは、新型「GSX-8T」と「GSX-8TT」を発表した。2025年夏頃より、欧州、北米を中心に世界各国で順次販売を開始する。
新型スズキGSX-8Tと新型スズキGSX-8TTは、最新の技術やエンジン、車体を採用したネオレトロなストリートバイクだ。
スズキの過去のモデルで採用されていたクラシカルで特徴的なフラットボトムのライトに着想を得た丸形ヘッドライトや、スズキ初のハンドルバーエンドミラーを採用し、レトロを感じさせながらモダンな外観に仕上げられた。
スズキドライブモードセレクター（SDMS）や電子制御スロットル、双方向クイックシフトなど、ライダーをアシストする電子制御システム「S.I.R.S.」や、軽量、コンパクトで信頼性が高く、低温時でも高い始動性を維持するELIIY Power製のリチウムイオンバッテリーを採用する。
新型スズキGSX-8Tは、1960年代の高性能ネイキッドバイクで“Titan”の愛称で知られる「T500」を彷彿とさせるデザインが特徴だ。
車体後方をマットブラックにしたタンクを際立たせるカラーリングで、勝負球を意味するビリヤードのエイトボールをイメージした立体エンブレムをシュラウドに配置。レトロかつモダンなデザインだ。
新型スズキGSX-8TTは、過去の名車を想起させるヘッドライトカウル、アンダーカウルを採用し、1970年代のロードレーサーをイメージしたデザインを採用。車体色は、ブラックのフロントフォークやシュラウド、グレーのシートレールなど落ち着いた配色とし、ホイールやデカールのスポーティーなアクセントを際立たせたカラーリングになっている。
車名の“TT”は、クラシックバイクを現代によみがえらせるという意味を込め、ベースモデルの“GSX-8T”と“Timeless”を掛け合わせたネーミングだ。
