戦争体験や思いを語る集会 体験者の高齢化で最後の開催 東京
終戦から80年となり戦争体験者が少なくなるなか、27日に都内では、86歳から100歳までの14人がそれぞれの体験や思いを語る集会が開かれました。
20年近く続くこの集会は、27日が最後だということです。
集会は戦争体験者の証言を記録し紹介する活動を続けている市民団体が18年前から開いているもので、体験者の高齢化を理由に27日が最後の開催となりました。
東京 千代田区の会場では86歳から100歳までの体験者14人が登壇し、東京大空襲や原爆投下による被害のほか、戦地の惨状などについてそれぞれの体験や思いを語りました。
このうち、高等女学校3年生の時に学徒動員で海軍の軍需工場で働いた川口ナオさん（96）は、つくっているものが“人間爆弾”と呼ばれた特攻専用の兵器「桜花」だと知り、「再び帰ることのない飛行機を操縦していく人の気持ちを思うと胸がいっぱいになった」と当時の思いを明かしました。
フィリピンのミンダナオ島で軍に送る食料を調達するため農場で指導にあたった坂上多計二さん（100）は、アメリカ軍が上陸してジャングルに逃げ込んだもののすぐに食料が尽き仲間が次々に死んでいった状況を「地獄絵図だった」と語り、平和の大切さを強く訴えました。
集会を開いた団体は、今後も証言映像の公開などを続けていくということです。
