愛子さま 大阪・関西万博の展示を視察
天皇皇后両陛下の長女の愛子さまは、大阪・関西万博の展示をご覧になりました。
愛子さまは、午前11時すぎに伊丹空港に到着し、出迎えた大阪府の吉村知事らに「楽しみにして参りました。2日間どうぞよろしくお願いします」と述べられました。
そして、午後2時ごろに大阪湾の人工島・夢洲にある万博会場に到着し、まず政府が出展するパビリオン「日本館」で、光エネルギーを吸収する藻類を培養するチューブをカーテンのように張り巡らせたフォトバイオリアクターと呼ばれる巨大な装置などをご覧になりました。
続いて「大屋根リング」に設けられたスカイウォークに上がり、集まった人たちの歓声に笑顔で手を振って応えられていました。
説明に当たった担当者によりますと、愛子さまは「母が1周2キロより長く感じたと話していましたが、私もそう感じました」と話されていたということです。
さらに、電気事業連合会のパビリオンでは、来場者に渡される直径10センチほどの卵型の端末を首にかけて館内を巡り、核融合反応の原理をゲーム形式で体感されました。
