和歌山 白浜町の海水浴場「本州でいちばん早い」海開き
関西有数の観光地、和歌山県白浜町の海水浴場で「本州でいちばん早い」と銘打った海開きが行われ、観光客などが一足早い海水浴を楽しみました。
白い砂浜で知られる白浜町の白良浜海水浴場では、毎年5月3日に、町が「本州一早い」と銘打って海開きを行っています。
3日は、家族連れなどおよそ100人が浜辺に集まり、安全祈願の神事のあと、テープカットとともに一斉に海に飛び込みました。
海水浴場は、午前9時の海水温が19度と、例年の海開きに比べて低かったものの、訪れた人たちは浮き輪を使って泳いだり水をかけあったりして、一足早い海水浴を楽しんでいました。
大阪から家族や親戚と訪れた13歳の女の子は「海に入った瞬間は冷たく感じましたが、楽しく泳げました」と話していました。
三重県から家族で訪れた30代の男性は「白浜のパンダを見るのにあわせて初めて来ましたが、とてもきれいな海だと思います。子どもたちも最高だと喜んでいるので、来てよかったです」と話していました。
白良浜海水浴場は、今シーズンは9月15日まで開設される予定です。
