OneDrive刷新、AIと共有機能を強化 Macの表示問題も改善
マイクロソフトは、クラウドストレージサービス「OneDrive」の機能強化を発表した。Copilotによるファイル要約や画像認識、音声による要約機能の追加に加え、新たな共有リンク「ヒーローリンク」など、業務効率やコラボレーションを支援する機能が多数盛り込まれている。

■ より情報整理に特化したCopilotに強化
同社は2024年9月にOneDriveにAIアシスタント「Copilot」を実装している。今回のアップデートでは、これまでも可能だったファイルのサマリーなどに加えて、質疑やFAQ生成など、情報整理を支援する機能が拡充された。特に「Audio overviews(オーディオ概要)」では、WordやPDF、会議議事録などの内容を数秒で音声コンテンツに変換し、移動中など手が塞がった状態でも情報を確認できる。
また、画像に対しても質問が可能になった。任意の画像からオブジェクトを識別したり、テキストを抽出したりすることが、OneDrive上で完結する。
■ 新しい共有手段の「hero link」
共有機能では、1つのファイルごとに1つの共有リンクを紐付けられる「hero link(ヒーローリンク)」を導入。アクセス権のすばやい変更やリンクの一元管理が可能となり、誤送信やアクセス制限の問題に対応する。共有時にはCopilotが概要を自動生成し、チームメンバーが事前に内容を把握できるようになる。
■ ファイル同期が最大3倍高速化
ファイル同期に関しても、初回同期が最大3倍高速化され、共有フォルダーのショートカット操作も改善された。フォルダに[サイト-フォルダー]ラベルが表示されるようになり、ショートカットが動作したときにはWindows上で通知を表示する。
また、「共有」ダイアログボックスの読み込みも最大で2倍高速化される。加えて、WindowsおよびmacOSの両環境に対応し、Mac固有の文字や外部ドライブへの対応も強化された。ほかにも、Copilot+ PC対応の機種では、ファイルエクスプローラーで検索するとローカルとクラウド両方からファイル検索を行なえるようになった。
■ オフライン編集やモバイル版改善も
ショートカットとライブラリのオフラインWebモードが追加された。Webアプリで対象ファイルをピン留めすると、“オフラインで使用可能”にできるようになる。macOS 15以降を使用している場合は、取り外し不可能なAPFS、File Vaultで保護された外部ドライブにOneDriveのファイルを保存できるようになった。
そのほか、追加されたPDF関連機能には注釈、ブックマーク、外観変更などがある。色付きフォルダによる視認性向上や、既知フォルダー移動(KFM)による自動同期など、ユーザーの利便性を重視した設計が目立つ。
さらに、2025年9月26日には、ライセンスを保有していないOneDriveアカウントが読み取り専用化され、10月29日にはアーカイブ対象となる方針も発表された。
