株式会社バッファローは6月27日、同社NAS商品（LinkStation/TeraStation）のパスワード変更についての注意喚起を発表した。
不正アクセスなどの被害を未然に防ぐために、安全なパスワードの利用が重要となるが、特に同社NAS商品のWebアクセス機能などインターネット経由でアクセス可能な機能を利用している場合は、十分な注意が必要となる。
同社では、初期状態のままのパスワードや安全性の低いパスワードを利用している顧客に対し、早急にパスワードを変更するよう呼びかけるとともに、「LinkStation」と「TeraStation」の管理者パスワード変更方法について案内している。
