世界が注目する日本のスーツ──サルトリア トラモント
スーツをコレクションの核として世界で勝負する新鋭デザイナーから、スーツの本場でテーラリングの技術を習得した若手テーラー、そして、新しい感性で若い世代へアプローチするMTOブランドまで、いま、日本のスーツが面白い。

港町、横浜の関内に立つ竣工1911年の由緒あるビルディングが物作りの拠点。明治時代の威風を色濃く残すロケーションは、スーツを注文するその前から特別な気分が味わえる。
テーラーの佐々木聖男さんは現在31歳。サルトリアの聖地、伊・ナポリで知られた名工、アントニオ・パスカリエッロに師事したが、そのマエストロはあの“チッチオ”を開いた上木規至さんの師でもある。今年で5年目となるサルトリア トラモントのハウススタイルは、全体において着心地に優れたナポリ仕立てをベースとする。しかし佐々木さんは過度にクラシコ的なディテールを追求することはない。
「ナポリといえばマニカ・カミーチャ（シャツ袖）などの袖付けが有名。ですが機能性は考慮しつつも、過度に余分を持たせるようなことはしません。現代的なスマートさを意識しつつ、手縫いの味わいとクリーンな印象をバランス良く込めてます」と語る。
なかでも時間をかけて縫い上げるのは、肩や首回り、それに襟付けの工程だ。
「着る人の肩のフォルムに合わせてナチュラルな傾斜となるよう、2回の仮縫いのなかで調整を繰り返します。ピタリと決まらないと着心地はもちろん、余計なシワが各所に出たりしますから」
佐々木さんの優れた技術は、すでに大手セレクトショップにも響いている。今季から、ビームスでは、トラモント名義のジャケットを数量限定ながら展開。
「ラバット社のシェパードチェック・ツイードを使い、安定感あるゴージラインや広めにとったショルダー等と相まって、寛ぎつつも品格あるルックスとなるよう努めました」
既製品ではあるものの、ボタンホールは佐々木さんの手縫いであり、仕上げのアイロンも一着一着念入りにハンド掛けすることで、豊かな立体感を完成させている。現代の都市生活に自然になじみつつ、しかしナポリ伝統の快適な着心地とエレガンスを両立した服作り。それがサルトリア トラモントが辿り着いた現在地だ。
NARIO SASAKI
1994年、神奈川県生まれ。ナポリのサルトに憧れ、2016年からアントニオ・パスカリエッロ氏のもとで住み込み修業。2021年にサルトリア トラモントを横浜の馬車道にオープンし、現在は日本大通りを拠点としている。価格はスーツ ¥480,000〜、ジャケット ¥365,000〜、納期は8カ月〜。㉄sartoria.tramonto@gmail.com
