コンビニ大手 運転手不足で店舗配送回数減 物流網見直す動き
トラックなどの運転手不足が社会的な課題となる中、コンビニ大手の間では、店舗への商品の配送回数を減らすなど、これまでの物流網を見直す動きが広がっています。
このうちファミリーマートは、16日から富山、石川、福井の3県にある合わせて540余りの店舗を対象に、1日3回としていた、おにぎりや弁当などの配送を2回に減らします。
物流コストが上昇する中、販売価格への影響を抑えるため、配送の効率化に踏み切ったということで、1回あたりの配送量を増やしたり、製法の工夫によって、おにぎりの消費期限を延ばしたりして対応することにしています。
この会社の藤村俊樹室長は「おいしさを維持したまま商品を長く売ることができれば、配送の回数を減らすことができる。取り組みを新しいエリアにも広げていきたい」と話していました。
コンビニ大手の間では、
▽セブンーイレブンが、都市部を除く店舗を中心に、1日4回の配送を3回に減らしたほか、
▽ローソンが、都市部の店舗を中心に、1日3回の配送を2回に減らしています。
このほか、ファミリーマートとローソンが、東北地方の一部で、去年から共同配送を始めるなど、物流網を見直す動きが広がっています。
