クレカのナッジ、“ステーブルコイン払い”10月開始
ナッジは、クレジットカード「Nudge」(ナッジカード)において、JPYCが発行を予定するステーブルコイン「JPYC」での返済受付を10月を目処に開始する。日本初の取り組みで、Visa加盟店において「ステーブルコインで買い物ができる」と訴求する。

ナッジは、同社のマイクロサービス基盤や決済システム基盤を活用して、JPYCでのカード利用代金返済を開始する。これにより、日本初となる「クレジットカードの支払いをステーブルコインで行なえる仕組み」が実現。VISA加盟店であれば、日本国内外を問わず、あらゆる買い物をJPYCで決済できる環境が整う。
具体的には、返済方法のひとつである、任意のタイミング・金額で返済できる「いつでも好きなだけ返済」について、これまでの「セブン銀行ATM払い」「銀行振込」に、新たに「ステーブルコイン払い」が加わる。これにより、カード利用代金をJPYCで支払えるようになる。
ステーブルコイン払いでは、ナッジ指定のウォレットアドレスにJPYCを送金することで返済できる。サービス開始時は対象者を限定し、Nudge NFTで実績のあるPolygonからの対応を予定している。
日本におけるステーブルコインは、JPYCが8月に資金決済法の「資金移動業者」の登録を取得、今秋に国内初となる円建てステーブルコイン「JPYC」の発行が予定されている。ステーブルコインは金融機関や事業者間で活用が期待される一方、日常利用では利用できる店舗の拡大などが課題とされている。店舗側には一定の専門知識が求められ、大型店やチェーン店ではPOS改修も必要になるが、クレジットカード加盟店ネットワークは、ステーブルコインの活用を後押しできる有効な手段になるとしている。
