侮辱罪 罰金刑科された人の約70％がネット上の行為で
SNS上でのひぼう中傷などの深刻化で、3年前に厳しくなった刑法の侮辱罪の運用状況が公表されました。新たに導入された罰金刑を科された人のうち、インターネット上の行為によるものはおよそ70％を占めています。
SNS上でのひぼう中傷などの深刻化を受けて、3年前の7月から刑法の侮辱罪が厳しくなり、「30万円以下の罰金」などの刑が加えられました。
今後、法律の運用などについて検証が行われることになっていて、法務省は9月中旬、有識者を交えた検討会に、これまでの状況を示しました。
法務省のまとめによりますと、ことしの6月末までの間に罰金刑が科された人は、延べ118人でした。
このうち、SNSなどインターネット上のひぼう中傷などで刑を科されたのは、延べ85人で、およそ70％を占めています。
具体的には、SNSに被害者の容姿の画像と、それを侮辱する投稿をしたとして、罰金30万円が科されたケースや、インターネットの掲示板に、被害者の名前と電話番号だとする数字を書き込んで中傷したとして、罰金10万円が科されたケースなどがあったということです。
法務省の検討会では、法律の見直しが必要かどうかなど議論することにしています。
