メルカリ、米国事業がブレークイーブン達成 第3四半期決算
メルカリは7日、2025年6月期第3四半期(2025年1月～3月)の連結決算を発表した。コア営業利益は前年同期比85％増の88億円となり、第2四半期に続いて過去最高を更新。主に日本事業の安定成長に加え、米国事業が13億円のコア営業利益を計上し、3Q累計でブレークイーブンを達成したことが大きく寄与した。

連結の売上収益は499億円で、前年同期比3％の増加。ただし、会計処理の変更により一部ポイント費用が売上から控除される形となり、控除前ベースでは4％増となる。マーケットプレイス(メルカリ本体)およびFintech(メルペイ)事業における収益基盤の拡充が引き続き進み、CtoC取引の収益力向上や債権から得られる金利収入の増加が寄与した。
米国事業では、マーケティング費用の効率化、為替影響やコアプロダクト(配送料補填費、不正関連費用費など)の改善・コスト削減が奏功し、13億円のコア営業利益を計上。前年同期の7億円の赤字から大きく改善し、3Q累計で黒字化を果たした。これまで赤字が続いていた米国事業の損益転換は、投資家からの注目ポイントとなっていた。
Fintech事業では、「定額払い」債権残高の成長が牽引する形で、営業利益が18億円と前年同期から20億円増加。マーケティング施策への投資を行ないつつも、スマート払いなど、「メルカード ゴールド」の提供などを通じて、ユーザーのロイヤリティを高めつつ、債権残高を伸ばし収益性を高めている。
マーケットプレイス事業ではGMV(総流通額)が2,923億円と前年同期比6％の増加。MAUは+0.4%の2,279万人。BtoCや越境取引といった高成長領域への投資に加え、大型施策「超メルカリ市」などのマーケティングが奏功した。一方で、期初に掲げた通期GMV成長率目標の達成は難しい見通しとされ、引き続きGMVの底上げに取り組む。
第4四半期には、Fintechにおいて来期成長に向けた投資を実施予定。米国でも一時的な還付金等の一時要因がなくなることや、オフシーズンであることから、コア営業利益は第3四半期の水準を下回る想定。一方で、通期でブレイクイーブンを目指す方針に変更はないとしている。
