アマゾン、新AIアシスタント「Alexa+」開始 会話・エンタメ・買い物
Amazonは30日(米国時間)、生成AIベースのパーソナルアシスタント「Alexa+」を発表した。今後数週間で米国で早期アクセスを開始し、まずはEcho Show 8/10/15/21から対応する。

主に音声アシスタントとして展開してきた「Alexa(アレクサ)」をAIベースに完全刷新。Alexa+では、パーソナライズ対応や柔軟な対話、タスク制御、エンターテインメント提供、学習サポートなど様々な作業を支援する新たな「パーソナルAIアシスタント」へと強化する。Alexa+の月額料金は19.99ドルだが、Prime会員は無料で利用できる。
Alexa+は、より会話的で賢く、パーソナライズされたサービスとして、利用者のタスク達成を支援する。Fire TVやEchoシリーズを使ったエンターテインメントの再生のほか、学習のサポートや会話などに対応。また、Alexa+はRingデバイスと連携した自宅の管理や保護、予約の手配、アーティストの発見なども手助けするほか、興味に基づいた提案などを行なう、Amazonでの商品購入も手助けする。
また、単純に会話を楽しむ、会話相手になる、といったAlexa+の利用も可能。考えがまとまっていない状態でも、くだけた表現でも、Alexa+が意図を理解し、信頼できるアシスタントとして応答する。
購入履歴や視聴した音楽・動画、配送先住所、支払い方法などもAlexa+が把握し、家族のレシピ、重要な記念日、知識、食事の好みなどを伝えると、その知識を使った提案も可能。例えば、「ピザが好き」「娘がベジタリアン」といった情報から適切なレストラン選びなどが行なえるという。
従来のAlexaと同様にスマートホーム機器のコントロールなどにも対応。Philips Hueの照明やRoborockのロボット掃除機などをサポートする。また、OpenTableなどの予約、Amazon Music、Spotify、Apple Musicなどの再生といった操作も可能となる。Amazon FreshやWhole Foods Marketでの食料品注文、GrubhubやUber Eatsでの配達、Ticketmasterでのチケット発売開始通知なども行なえる。
さらにエージェント機能を搭載。Alexa+が自らインターネットを操作し、ユーザーに代わってタスクを裏方で完了する。例えばオーブンの修理が必要な場合、Alexa+がウェブを検索し、適切なサービスプロバイダーを発見、認証、修理手配を行ない、完了を報告するという。
あわせて、Alexa+に対応した新型「Echo」シリーズや「Fire TV」なども発表されている。
