ファミマ、埼京線浮間舟渡駅に無人店舗 JR東日本で2店目
ファミリーマートは、JR埼京線浮間舟渡駅にて無人決済店舗「ファミリーマートJR浮間舟渡駅／S店」を4月30日にオープンする。TOUCH TO GOが開発した無人決済システムを活用する店舗で、JR東日本の駅におけるファミマ無人店舗の出店は青梅線羽村駅に続き2店目。

「ファミリーマートJR浮間舟渡駅／S店」では、“次世代のお買い物体験”を可能にするほか、通常の有人レジ店舗に比べ、時間節約ニーズの高い朝や移動の合間など、短時間で買い物ができるようになり、鉄道を利用するユーザーのニーズに対応して利便性の向上が期待できるとしている。また省人化や省力化が可能になり、店舗オペレーションコストを低減、人材不足の解消も目指す。
店舗では、天井に設置されたカメラの情報から、入店した客と手に取った商品をリアルタイムに認識。出口付近に設置された決済端末のディスプレイには、購入商品と合計金額が自動で表示され、ファミペイを含むバーコード決済、交通系電子マネー、クレジット、現金で支払いが可能。スピーディに買い物ができる。
2021年3月に1号店を開店して以降、ファミリーマートは無人決済店舗をオフィスビルや駅構内、市役所、学校関連施設、商業施設や物流施設の従業員休憩スペースなどへ出店している。ファミリーマート浮間舟渡駅店は、無人決済では39店舗目。今後も全国へ出店を推進していく方針。
