アマゾン、新OS搭載で横断検索できる「Fire TV Stick 4K Select」
Amazonは1日、OSを刷新した新型Fire TV「Fire TV Stick 4K Select」を発表し、メール予約を開始した。価格は7,980円。

コストパフォマンスに優れたFire TVシリーズの新モデルで、4Kテレビへの高画質ストリーミングに対応するほか、HDRフォーマットとして「HDR10」「HLG」のほか、新たに「HDR10+」をサポートする。Fire TV Stick 4K Selectは、新開発OS「Vega」を採用。新たなUIにより、アプリを横断して検索できるため、豊富なコンテンツの中から観たいものを簡単に探せるようになる。
また、同梱のAlexa対応音声認識リモコンを使って、Alexaボタンを押しながら話しかけて、コンテンツの検索や再生、サッカーや野球の試合結果の確認、スマートホーム製品の操作が可能。さらに、Xboxゲームにも対応予定。ゲーム機本体がなくても数百ものXbox用ゲームをプレイ可能となる。なお、Amazon Kids+とXboxは近日のソフトウェアアップデートにて対応する。
IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/acの無線LANとBluetooth 5.0 + LEに対応。テレビとの接続はHDMIで、延長ケーブルなどが付属する。ストレージは8GB。外形寸法は99×30×14mm。重量は42g。
Fire TV Stick 4K Selectはメール予約を1日から開始。販売・予約注文が開始された際にEメールで知らせる。
