ビームス別注の「スーパースター Ⅱ」は遊び心あふれるトウに注目！──GQ新着スニーカー
ビームス（BEAMS）は、アディダス オリジナルス（adidas Originals）の別注スニーカー「スーパースター Ⅱ」を7月4日（金）18時よりビームス 原宿で先行販売し、その他のビームス レーベル展開店舗、公式オンラインショップでは7月5日（土）より販売する。価格は2万2000円（税込）。

バスケットボールシューズとして産声を上げ、2025年に生誕55周年を迎えた不朽の名作、「スーパースター」。革新的なデザインとパフォーマンス性能は、当時の選手たちからも高く評価され、歴史に名を刻む往年のバスケットボールプレーヤーの足元を支え、その後、バスケットボールコートから都会のストリートへ舞台を移し、長年にわたりストリートウェアの象徴的な存在となった名作スニーカーだ。
2014年以来となる「スーパースター」のビームス別注モデルは、アイコニックなデザインをそのままに、履きやすさを追求した最新作「スーパースター Ⅱ」に対し、ウィットなアプローチで、ビームスならではの一足へアップデート。
象徴的なラバー製トウキャップ、通称“シェルトトゥ”に“BEAMS”の文字を同色で配置。先端にかけて広がるパーツデザインも相まって、同モデルの顔に遊び心を落とし込んだ。
また、肉厚なパッド入りのシュータンには、“金ベロ”と呼ばれるゴールドカラーのロゴを採用。“スリーストライプのブランド”を意味するフランス語の上にも、“beams”の名がゴールドで輝きを放つ。
