Microsoft、週3日のオフィス出社を必須化
Microsoftは9日(米国時間)、原則「週3日のオフィス勤務」を必須とする方針を発表した。「対面での共同作業が増えるほど、従業員は活気づき、能力を発揮し、より優れた成果を生み出す」としている。
米国では、ワシントン州の本社があるPuget Sound地域から開始し、オフィスから約80km圏内に居住する場合は、2026年2月末までに週3日の出社勤務が求められる。必要に応じて、9月19日までに例外措置を申請できる。
次いで米国内の他の拠点でも週3勤務とし、スケジュールは近日中に発表予定。米国外の従業員については、2026年に計画を開始するという。
同社では、「AI時代において、我々はかつてない速さで進み、人々の生活や働き方、組織運営を変える技術を構築している。我々の歴史を振り返れば、最も意義深いブレークスルーは、互いのアイデアをリアルタイムで共有し、共に築き上げた時に起こっている」とし、対面での共同作業の重要性を強調。「時代を定義するAI製品を構築するには、賢い人材が肩を並べて困難な課題に取り組むことで生まれるエネルギーと勢いが必要」と週3出社の理由を説明している。
