セブンイレブン初の「地域共創型店舗」 福岡県八女市の山間部
セブン‐イレブン・ジャパンは、セブン‐イレブンで初となる「地域共創型店舗」を福岡県八女(やめ)市の山間部に位置する星野村に出店する。秋頃オープン予定。
八女市とセブン‐イレブンが3月に締結した「八女市買物支援事業に関する協定」に基づく出店。協定は、山村地域の買物支援を通じた地域活性化の促進を目指して締結され、双方連携による地域住民の生活利便性向上を目的としている。
出店地の星野村は八女市内でも山間部に位置し、特に人口減、高齢化が進むエリアとなっている。また、生活に必要な買物の場は限られ、日常的に使いやすい小売店の出店が望まれていたという。
こういったことから、住みやすいまちづくりを目指す八女市と、地域に根差した店舗展開を推進するセブン‐イレブンの考えが一致し、星野村への出店が決定した。
今回出店する店舗は、行政との取り組みによる地域共創スキームを持ち、その地域での持続的な店舗運営を鑑みた店舗構造や品揃えとする。地域のニーズに対応しながらエリアの買物支援に特化した、標準店舗の約半分の規模の小型店舗という特徴があり、こうした「地域共創型店舗」の出店はセブン‐イレブンでは初の取り組みとなる。
食品を中心に品揃えし、カウンターでのフライヤー商品、セブンカフェ、セブンカフェスムージーの取り扱いや、セブン銀行ATM、マルチコピー機などの生活サービスも導入する。
店舗名は「セブン‐イレブン八女星野村店(仮)」、運営方式はフランチャイズ方式。営業時間は6時～22時、年中無休。
