若き創造力が描き出す、新時代のスタイル──特集：ファッションの“いま”知る10のこと
JFW（日本ファッション・ウィーク）のミッションは、日本のコレクション事業、テキスタイル事業の国際競争力を引き上げること。前身の日本ファッション戦略会議から数えると、2025年9月に開催した今シーズンで20周年となる。楽天ファッション・ウィーク東京2026年春夏シーズンでは、ムッシャンやアンセルムが参加した公式デザイナーショーのほかに、これからのファッション業界を担う学生・学校団体を主体としたインキュベーションショーが企画された。

インキュベーションショーに参加したのは創立76周年の歴史を誇るマロニエファッションデザイン専門学校で、学生たちは「FUSION」をテーマに作品を制作、9月4日（木）に渋谷ヒカリエ ヒカリエホールにてショーを開催した。コレクションの制作・発表にあたっては、ファッション業界のトップを走る様々な企業が協力した。
「マロニエファッションデザイン専門学校 2026 S/S コレクション」開催にあたり、マロニエファッションデザイン専門学校の岡本剛二校長は、このイベントの意図と意義を次のように語っている。
「自分もブランドデザイナーをしていた頃、ショー参加など貴重な経験をたくさんさせてもらってきたので、学生にもそういった様々な経験をしてほしいと思っています。学生たちはすごくいいモノづくりをするし、力があるし、夢も持っているので、2年前にJFWOと話を進めさせていただき、ショー参加させていただくことになりました。アイデア出しのところから全学生と一人一人コミュニケーションを図りながら制作を進めてきたので、一人一人の頑張りを知っているからこそ、完成した作品の着たモデルがランウェイを歩くのを見ると、気持ちもとても熱くなりますね。今後については、若いデザイナー育成のため、継続していくことが大切だと考えていて、若い人たちの発表の場が多くなることが日本のファッション業界の発展につながると感じています」
