アトモスからアディダス オリジナルスの別注「ZX 8000」が登場！──GQ新着スニーカー
アトモス（atmos）は、アディダス オリジナルス（adidas Originals）に別注した新作スニーカー「ZX 8000 アトモス ヒドラ（adidas Originals ZX 8000 ATMOS Hydra ）」を発表。9月27日(日)にアトモスの公式オンラインストアと直営店、東京・原宿の「A.T.A.D」にて発売される。2010年にスタートした「ZX 8000 G-SNK」シリーズ第11弾となる今作は、1989年にリリースされた「ZX 9000」のオリジナルカラーをベースに、別注モデルならではの個性を加えた仕上がりとなっている。

「ZX 8000」は、ランニングシューズとしての機能性とデザイン性を両立させたシリーズのハイエンドモデル。安定性を高めるトルションシステムをランニングシューズ史上初めて搭載したことでも知られ、1984年の誕生以来、数々のランニングスタイルを築き上げてきた「ZXシリーズ」を象徴する存在だ。
第1弾から採用されてきた“GLOW IN THE DARK-SNAKE”のパターンは今作でも健在。さらにリフレクターを搭載し、夜間でも存在感を放つ仕様となっている。クラシックな“ZX 9000 OG”カラーをまとったことで、シリーズの歴史を踏まえながらも新鮮な印象を与えている。
本作のキービジュアルは、アッパーに配された鮮やかなカラーの呼称「Hydra」から同じ名前を持つギリシャ神話に登場する不死身の怪物「ヒドラ」に着想を得て、「ZX 9000」が現代の「ZX 8000」として甦るストーリーを表現している。
