養殖かきの水揚げ 猛暑で20日ほど遅れることに 広島県
広島県特産の冬の味覚、かき。養殖のかきの水揚げは例年、10月1日から行われていましたが、今シーズンは猛暑の影響などで20日ほど遅れることになりました。広島県は養殖かきの生産量が全国のおよそ6割を占め、日本一となっています。
県内の養殖業者などで作る団体は例年、水揚げ開始を10月1日としてきましたが、今シーズンは20日に遅らせることになりました。
これは、この夏の猛暑の影響で海水温が高く、かきが育つまでに時間がかかっていることや、水揚げの期間を短くしてかき殻の発生を抑え、集積場がひっ迫しないようにするためだということです。
水揚げは、去年も猛暑の影響で20日ほど遅れていて、遅れるのは2年連続となります。
広島県漁業協同組合連合会の米田輝隆会長は「消費者の皆さんにしっかりしたものをおくりたいという思いがあり、生産者などで話し合って出荷をずらした。とにかくいい品物を全国に届けたい」と話していました。
